Within 3 months of the end of each financial year, the Commissioner must provide the Minister for Racing an annual report on the performance of functions and the exercise of powers under the Racing Regulation and Integrity Act 2024

Before 30 November of each year, the Minister for Racing must cause a copy of the annual report to be laid before each House of Parliament. ​​​

2025 Tasm​​anian Racing Industry​ Health Check 

To support the functions of the Tasmanian Racing Integrity Commissioner and to gain a detailed understanding of the Tasmanian racing industry, the Commissioner is conducting a health check of the industry, including a review of the strategic priorities, sustainability measures, and benchmarking.

​​2025 Assessment of Tasracing Code of Practice for Racehorse Welfare

The Assessment of Tasracing Code of Practice for Racehorse Welfare has concluded. 

In accordance with the Racing Regulation and Integrity Act 2024, the Commissioner’s recommendations will be outlined in the 2025 – 2026 Annual Report.

Investigations 

The Commissioner may investigate any matter relating to racing including, but not limited to, matters relating to integrity in racing and animal welfare. 

​Investigation reports may be published here once investigations are complete. 

In​quiries 

The Commissioner may also hold an inquiry into any matter in racing that the Commissioner considers appropriate, including, but not limited to, matters relating to integrity in racing and animal welfare. 

On completion of an inquiry, the Commissioner is to submit a report of findings and recommendations to the Minister for Racing. A copy of the report, with redactions if appropriate, is to be tabled in Parliament within 10 sitting-days after the day it is received. 

Inquiry reports will be published here once they have been tabled. 

​​Right to information 

Information in the possession of the Commissioner, or a person assisting the Commissioner, is exempt from right to information applications under the Right to Information Act 2009 if the information relates to an inquiry or investigation.
